We’re looking for someone with excellent writing and research skills to help our team write and edit content for a variety of projects, working closely with multiple teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging.
A driving force behind our commitment to the customer is an unwavering belief in clear and effective communications. Experience in telecom a plus but the ideal candidate will at minimum have proven success in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. As part of the *** Business marketing team, this role will craft various content types — including product copy, blog posts, social posts, and transactional communications — that address our target audiences and promote our brand.
Objectives of this role:
• Write fresh copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action
• Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and client-related industry trends
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
Responsibilities:
• Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications tactics including but not limited to social posts, blogs, case studies, technical manuals, web content, marketing campaign content
• Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal teams
• Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
• Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation
• Conduct in-depth research and convey findings with accuracy
• Revise and edit content before publication
• Stay current on marketing and general telecom industry trends to augment content development
• Work with content strategists to help build editorial calendars
• Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment and consistency in branding, style, and messaging
• Research market trends and developments relevant to campaign subject matter
• Implement effective SEO to maximize user engagement
Required skills and qualifications:
• Five or more years of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work
• Superb writing and research skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
• Impeccable use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ability to work effectively without oversight
• High degree of computer literacy
• Demonstrated experience in social media, marketing, or a related field
Preferred skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field
• Experience in the telecom industry
• Proven experience as a content writer or copywriter
• Significant experience creating high-quality marketing content
• Portfolio of relevant writing samples
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
• Ability to collaborate with other writers and receive and give feedback
• Compelling writing style, voice, and tone
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Capable of managing multiple competing priorities
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Asana, Salesforce, or Outreach a plus
• Comprehensive understanding of impactful marketing tactics
• Excellent time and project management skills
