Job summary

The American Technion Society is seeking a Content Strategist and Writer to join its Marketing team in a hybrid New York City-based role. You will craft stories across print and digital channels, shaping ATS’s voice and donor communications to engage a broad audience.

You’ll interview researchers and alumni, edit features and magazine content, and drive integrated storytelling campaigns with internal partners and external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional writing, content marketing, journalism, communications, or related experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific or technical information in an accessible and engaging way.
  • Experience managing publications, editorial calendars, and content projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player who also works effectively independently.
  • Experience writing in support of fundraising, brand-building, or mission-driven initiatives preferred.
  • Familiarity with Israel, Jewish communal organizations, science, education, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools preferred.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance research, content development, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write compelling content for print and digital channels, including articles, donor communications, websites, marketing collateral, emails, brochures, advertisements, social media, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Translate complex scientific, technological, and academic subjects into engaging stories for diverse audiences.
  • Create persuasive copy that increases awareness, strengthens engagement, and inspires philanthropic support.
  • Conduct interviews with Technion researchers, students, alumni, donors, and community leaders.
  • Identify and develop impactful content opportunities that highlight innovation, discovery, and transformational philanthropy.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to build integrated storytelling campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Serve as senior editor and project manager for Technion USA Magazine and other key publications.
  • Ensure content is accurate, compelling, on-brand, and aligned with ATS editorial standards.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies on fundraising appeals, planned giving communications, and strategic marketing initiatives.

The American Technion Society (ATS) is currently seeking a Content Strategist and Writer to join their growing organization. This position is a hybrid New York Metro-based role.

Salary range: $95,000-105,000

The American Technion Society (ATS) supports visionary education and world-changing impact through the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Based in New York City, it represents thousands of US donors, alumni, and stakeholders who invest in the Technion's growth and innovation to advance critical research and technologies that serve the State of Israel and the global good. ATS employs a staff of 60 + that work from New York and in regional offices across the United States.

What You’ll Do

Create Powerful Content

  • Develop and write compelling content for print and digital channels, including articles, donor communications, websites, marketing collateral, emails, brochures, advertisements, social media, and fundraising campaigns.
