Position Overview

We are seeking a Content Specialist to lead the development and execution of content that drives Cedarhurst’s brand awareness, engages audiences, and reinforces our mission to enrich lives. This role is a critical contributor to our marketing team, shaping narratives that highlight Cedarhurst’s values, differentiate us in the senior living industry, and connect meaningfully with residents, families, and communities.

As a Content Specialist, you will craft high-impact, multi-platform content that aligns with Cedarhurst’s business objectives, enhances our digital presence, and builds trust with internal and external stakeholders. By combining storytelling, data-driven insights, and creativity, you will elevate Cedarhurst’s reputation as a compassionate, innovative, and industry-leading senior living provider.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Content Development: Lead the ideation and creation of engaging content that aligns with Cedarhurst’s strategic goals. This includes developing resident stories, thought leadership articles, email campaigns, social media posts, video, and photography. Ensure all content is consistent with brand messaging and highlights Cedarhurst's mission and competitive advantages.
  2. Social Media Leadership: Develop and implement a data-driven social media strategy by creating, scheduling, and publishing content via HubSpot. Foster engagement by interacting with the audience strategically, conducting social listening, and leveraging current trends in content creation.
  3. Visual Storytelling: Capture and produce authentic photography and video that represents Cedarhurst’s residents, team members, and communities. Use these visual assets to craft emotionally impactful campaigns that build trust and confidence in Cedarhurst’s services.
  4. Content Calendar Management: Own and maintain the content calendar, ensuring alignment with Cedarhurst’s corporate priorities, seasonal campaigns, and key initiatives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all content.
  5. Internal Communications Support: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce internal newsletters and other communication materials, ensuring consistency with corporate messaging and fostering engagement across the organization.
  6. Performance Analytics: Track social media performance using insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI. Regularly report key performance indicators (KPIs) to marketing leadership and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  7. Marketing and Sales Collateral Support for Sister Companies: Develop PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and other promotional materials to support Cedarhurst’s sister companies, maintaining brand consistency and quality across all assets.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, impactful campaigns across digital channels.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing platforms such as Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity, impact, and emotional resonance.
  • Expertise in social media platforms, engagement strategies, and analytics tools.
  • Experience in photography, videography, and visual storytelling for professional audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a mission-driven organization is highly desirable.
