The Kingdom East Unified Union School District is hiring a full-time Content Specialist Teacher to support students from kindergarten through eighth grade at Burke Town School. The role is dedicated to fostering a positive school climate and culture while delivering specially designed instruction (SDI). The content specialist will collaborate with teachers, special education case managers, and administration to provide direct instruction and additional interventions for students needing support as defined by Vermont ESS and Federal IDEA statutes. The position requires layered support and instruction under the EST, 504, and IEP guidelines within the VTMTSS framework and Act 173. The content specialist should have a deep understanding of their content area—whether academic, health, physical education, behavior, inclusion, cognitive, or social/emotional learning—and possess a passion for working with elementary students.

Job Requirements

• Has or is eligible for a Vermont educator’s license
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
