The Content Protection department provides support to UMG labels and business units worldwide, across multiple time zones. The environment is fast‑paced and offers opportunities to work on diverse projects related to audio and video content, as well as many other areas of our digital and physical workstreams. This role suits a dynamic individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for recorded music and technology.

As a Content Protection Representative, you will primarily review and assess UMG content using a variety of internal and external technologies. You will also be trained in the physical, digital, and technical operations of the music business.

Bring your VIBE:

  • 0–1+ years’ work experience in the music industry, digital media, entertainment, technology, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with anti‑piracy, copyright, or trademarks preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Highly organized with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Significant understanding of digital technologies, especially music platforms and mobile apps.
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow‑through and execution.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Passion for music and digital music platforms.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365, especially Excel.
  • Experience with large datasets and/or databases, including SQL.
  • Excellent presentation skills (e.g., PowerPoint) and willingness to speak publicly among peers and senior managers.

  • Handle inquiries from internal business units and labels, including Spanish‑speaking labels.
  • Work with international trade groups to enforce our rights.
  • Stay abreast of digital trends related to the recording industry.
