Job summary

WCBD TV in Charleston, SC seeks a Content Producer to craft daily newscasts, decide story order, write teases, time programs, edit video, and post to the website.

You will produce newscasts across platforms, write and order stories, approve scripts, balance news and features, interact with viewers on social media, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Prefer minimum two years’ experience in news operations.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work any shift on-site.

Requirements & Skills

• Requirements & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
