Content Policy Manager (W2 Contract Only)

Location: Newark, NJ

Duration: 09 Months (Possible Extension)

Remote (EST hours)

Client is seeking a Policy Manager to join the content policy team in refining policies and standards that impact listeners and the creative community. The role involves working with cross-functional and international teams to address emerging issues in digital media.

Reporting to the Director of Content Policy, you will collaborate with Legal, PR, product managers, and creative teams to provide policy guidance and handle escalations. Your experience in content policy strategies and global project management will be crucial to align on trust and safety practices, delivering results amidst ambiguity and balancing diverse stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and consult on existing policies, escalations, and new use cases
  • Communicate policy guidance and changes across departments
  • Manage internal communications for moderation issues
  • Improve team processes for efficiency
  • Support policy projects, using data to identify risks and suggest mitigations
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations
  • Provide clear policy decisions and brief leadership
  • Represent Content Policy in meetings
  • Develop policies considering multiple stakeholder perspectives, including creative professionals

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years in compliance, policy, moderation, or risk management
  • Experience managing global projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic judgment
  • Ability to operate under ambiguity
  • Technical fluency with Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing global content policies and process improvements
  • Experience in content policy or digital moderation
