Job summary

Little Dot Studios in Los Angeles seeks a Content Manager to oversee a digital content library, assist post production and social video teams, and help with tagging, time codes, and logging. The role supports copywriting, basic design, and channel maintenance across platforms including YouTube.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in social media or digital marketing, strong knowledge of video storage and post production workflows, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude for a dynamic startup

Qualifications

• 2+ years in social media or related digital marketing.
• Strong knowledge of YouTube and other platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook).
• Excellent knowledge of video storage systems.
• Familiarity with video codecs and post production workflows.
• Ability to adapt to new processes quickly.
• Experience producing social video (timecodes) is a plus.

The Content Manager is responsible for managing a digital content library, assisting the post production and social video teams with time codes/selects for compilations, content logging, basic graphic design, optimization, copywriting and general YouTube channel maintenance. This manager knows the channels in and out and knows the assets, IP, content goals, and competitive landscape to take content on the channel to the next level. They ideate reactive content and support on the trend report. They may also help ideate creative content for production or platform teams.

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME

• Managing content libraries for one or more channels, ensuring the files are labelled with correct naming conventions and organized efficiently

• Pulling time codes and scene selects for compilation and social video edits

• Optimization of social content to prep it for distribution across social channels

• Creative support for social pages or channels including copywriting, graphic design, video editing, producing, and publishing

• General support for the social video services department

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.

• 2+ years of social media and/or related digital marketing experience

• Good knowledge of YouTube and social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook) and an interest in the differences between them

• Excellent knowledge of video storage systems

• Good working knowledge of video codecs and post production workflows

• Ability to adapt to new processes and workflows quickly

• Some knowledge of the YouTube and Facebook content management system and other video platforms (bonus)

• Experience producing social video (timecodes)

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof-check your own work

• Team player with a hard-working flexible attitude, a good sense of humour and an interest in working in a dynamic start-up environment

• Proficiency in other languages (bonus)
