Job summary

Aptimized in the Phoenix and New York offices is seeking an experienced AEM developer to build, maintain, and optimize web applications using Adobe Experience Manager. The role blends hands-on coding with collaboration across designers and stakeholders in a hybrid environment.

Candidates should be proficient in Java 17/21, AEM cloud development, and familiar with AEM architecture, APIs, and workflows. You will participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to scalable, high-quality digital

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17/21 for web applications.
• Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) cloud development, customization, and configuration.
• Deep knowledge of AEM architecture including Assets, Sling APIs, Sites API, Content Delivery API, GraphQL APIs, Schedulers, OSGi services, and workflows.

Responsibilities

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Primary) and New York, NY (Secondary)

Hybrid (3 days a week in the office) for both locations

Industry: Major Credit Company (Through Implementation Company)

Rate: Open (C2C or 1099)

In this role, you will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing web applications and digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Key Responsibilities

• String proficiency in Java 17 and 21
• Strong proficiency in AEM Cloud development, customization, and configuration
• In-depth knowledge of AEM architecture, including Assets, Sling APIs, Sites API, Content Delivery API, GraphQL APIs, Schedulers, OSGi services, and workflows.
• Support the development and customization of websites, components, templates, and workflows using Adobe AEM.
• Collaborate with senior developers, designers, and business stakeholders to implement digital solutions.
• Assist in building reusable AEM components and integrating third-party services.
• Debug, test, and document code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Learn and apply AEM best practices for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups as part of the agile team.
• Provide technical support for AEM-related issues in development, QA, and production environments.
