Job summary

Cooley LLP seeks a Content Integration Manager to join the Marketing and Client Development team. The role leads distribution copy across major campaigns, edits editorial materials, and collaborates with design and digital teams to ensure responsive layouts.

You will tailor messaging for personas, align with campaign strategy, and drive brand consistency. The position involves leading content initiatives, optimizing performance with insights, and mentoring direct reports within a hybrid office

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or business development, preferably in integrated content.
  • Demonstrated copy editing expertise and editorial standards.
  • Experience drafting content strategies and overseeing execution.
  • Familiar with Digital Asset Management and modern martech.

Responsibilities

As such, the default assumption for employees and partners is a hybrid schedule: some in-office presence and some work from home days absent certain essential in-office roles that require five (5) days/week in-office.Position summary: This role is part of the Integrated Content Marketing Team, which serves as the Firm’s Voice, and orchestrates the firm’s editorial strategy and messaging framework. Primarily responsible for driving the firm's distribution content efforts by developing targeted campaign messaging, maintaining rigorous editorial standards, and ensuring consistency across all client-facing communications. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Position responsibilities:Multi-Channel Copywriting: Lead the development of distribution-ready copy across major campaigns, translating complex editorial themes into targeted messaging for email, web and other priority channels.Copy Editing Workflow: Own the day-to-day copy editing and proofreading process for both editorial and messaging materials, maintaining accuracy, consistency and brand alignment.Creative Asset Translation: Collaborate with the design and digital teams to ensure web layout and email designs support the natural scannability of the copy.Persona Customization: Adapt baseline messaging drafts into tailored variants for specific target personas (e.g., in-house counsel vs. private equity sponsors).Campaign Delivery Alignment: Partner with the Campaign Strategy team to ensure all distribution assets are written, proofed, and delivered on time for scheduled drops.Firmwide content initiatives: Lead execution of Cooley brand initiative content strategies and plans, ensuring connectivity to audience and business priorities.Performance-Informed Optimization: Partner with Digital, Insights and Campaign Strategy to review content and messaging performance, develop messaging variations for testing, and apply performance insights to improve engagement.Content Standards Enablement and Validation: Maintain the Cooley Style Guide well as the firm’s active Copy Matrix to ensure copy assets are unified and compliant with firm standards and key product and campaign messaging; develop best practices, templates, guidelines and reusable tools that improve content quality and consistency across MCD.Direct Coaching: Review and edit the copy submissions of the messaging specialists, providing constructive feedback to improve clarity and conversion.People Leader:Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reportsProvide day-to-day supervision of direct reports, ensure compliance with assigned work hours and monitor for compliance with all firm and department policies. Manage staffing coverage, review and process time logs/time off requestsSupport business professional development and continued educational opportunitiesIn collaboration with immediate supervisor and central HR, participate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, termination and other employee lifecycle eventsAll other duties as assigned or requiredSkills and experience:Required:After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applicationsAbility to work extended and/or weekend hours, as requiredAbility to travel, as required5+ years applicable experience in the field (e.g., marketing or business development, preferably with an emphasis working in an integrated content function)Prior professional services industry experience and/or B2B marketing experienceDemonstrated copy editing expertise and experience writing content for an evolving search landscape (e.g. AEO, GEO)Experience drafting content strategies, plans and overseeing execution.Experience with modern technologies including Digital Asset ManagementExperience with emerging technologies that increase the efficiency and output of contentPreferred:Bachelor’s degreeSupervisory experiencePrior legal industry or professional services experienceCooley offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits package and is committed to fair and equitable employment practices. EOE.The expected annual pay range for this position with a full-time schedule is $120,000 - $175,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.We offer a full range of elective benefits including medical, health savings account (with applicable medical plan), dental, vision, health and/or dependent care flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, life insurance, AD&D, long-term care coverage, backup care for children and/or adults and other parental support benefits.
