Job summary

Roku is seeking a Software Engineer for the Content Ingestion team. You will design and maintain ingestion pipelines processing millions of assets from feeds and multimedia, powering real-time content matching and insights for the ACR platform.

You’ll work across AWS/GCP, on-prem environments, and liaise with partners in the US and Seoul. You’ll build APIs, batch jobs, and infrastructure, set up monitoring, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–3 years of software engineering, DevOps, or cloud operations experience
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, C++, or Go
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP (Compute, Storage, Networking)
• Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong Linux and CLI skills
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Understanding of message queues, caching, and scaling
• Fluency with agentic AI toolchains is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain APIs and batch jobs for asset ingestion and distribution
• Create infrastructure for on-prem and cloud deployments using Terraform and Ansible
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical production services
• Collaborate with US and international teams to gather requirements and data flow
• Drive AI methodologies and agentic AI workflows within code repositories
• Manage containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and Git for version control
