Content Editor

We're looking for a Content Editor who knows exactly how to assemble a scroll-stopping video. If you can turn raw footage into something that hooks people and doesn’t let go, this is the role for you.

The Role

This is a part-time, on-site or hybrid role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. You'll take raw footage across various company projects and campaigns and turn it into polished, scroll-stopping content across platforms, working closely with producers and creative leads to bring each project's vision to life. This role covers vertical shortform content as well as longform, narrative-driven video. We're looking for someone who understands pacing, sound, and rhythm and thinks neurotically about the way audiences actually consume content. Not a second of the editing timeline is seen as purposeless, whether it's a 15 second clip or a longer piece built to hold attention.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing both vertical shortform content for social platforms and longform, narrative-driven video
• Strong reel or portfolio showing range across formats
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects; familiarity with CapCut and platform-native editing tools is a plus
• Natural sense of pacing, sound design, and visual storytelling across different formats and platforms
• Fluency in internet culture and platform trends, with an eye for what makes a piece of content go viral and experience editing content garnering millions of views
• Ability to work fast without cutting corners, including quick turnarounds on tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented, with disciplined organizational habits around file management and version control
• Comfortable taking direction and iterating quickly based on feedback from producers and creative leads
• Bachelor's degree in Media, Film, or a related field is a plus
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment
