Role Description

Working remotely, the math content developer maintains existing and develops new curriculum for grades K–12. Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum Development, the developer writes, reviews, and revises curriculum and assessments to improve accuracy, alignment, and customer satisfaction.

This is a limited-term position expected to last 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • Writes, reviews, and revises curriculum, instructional materials, multimedia, supplementary resources, and assessments
  • Creates, updates, and maintains course documentation including course maps, learning objective frameworks, course metadata, and alignments
  • Demonstrates knowledge of state and national standards and National Standards for Quality Online Learning
  • Designs and develops unit and lesson prototypes and proofs of concept
  • Proposes and implements new content development methods, including the use of generative AI
  • Leads subject matter experts and strategic partners to develop course enhancements aligned with standards, accessibility, style guides, and policies
  • Aims for a measurable long-term impact on course performance and learner outcomes
  • Provides expertise to stakeholders and communicates effectively with teams
  • Supports teachers in curriculum creation and implementation
  • Works with cross-functional Agile teams to complete projects
  • Proposes and implements new procedures within own area
  • Stays current on online education strategies, trends, and initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, curriculum, or similar
  • At least 2 years of teaching or curriculum development experience, preferably virtual
  • Deep understanding of K-12 math standards and curriculum development
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Experience with content across elementary to secondary levels
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines with accurate, detailed work
  • Knowledge of education management, learning management, or content management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HTML, and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Flexible, self-directed, creative, and organized
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
