About the Role

We are looking for a creative thinker, who loves books and reading, and who can adapt to changing situations quickly. In this position you will represent ReedPop when you work with partners (e.g., book publishers). You will provide support to the Content Lead in literary programming and logistics managing multiple projects and deadlines. This position requires confidentiality, the ability to work within a team, and cross functionally. Confidence with fan-facing activities and communication both pre-show and onsite is a must. This position will require on-site event execution, which will include early mornings and late nights during the week of an event. When not on-site, remote work is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Working with Content Lead to develop engaging programs, driving fan registration and partner interest

  • Work cross functionally on content area builds, room layouts, AV support and amenities

  • Update website pages with content related information to engage fans and promote events

  • Organize and execute on deliverables for content programs across different events

  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners to organize programs and ensure client satisfaction

  • Coordinate and organize hotel and travel for content guest presenters

  • Provide onsite leadership at events to content crew and author escorts

  • Travel frequently to shows to ensure smooth execution of content programs

Requirements

  • Experience in the events industry, preferably within publishing, strongly preferred.

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be organized, detail-oriented & proactive with a true passion for books, reading, pop culture, fan communities, and the brands we work with.

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Be resourceful and willing to find creative solutions that will help you achieve your goals.

  • Have flexibility to thrive within a fast-paced work environment with unpredictable deadlines and schedules.

  • Be able to travel up to 10 times annually, domestic and international, including weekends, as needed.

  • A strong network of established relationships with publishing professionals is helpful.
