Job summary

Action Against Hunger USA is seeking a Communications Associate to support content development, storytelling, knowledge management, and communications coordination within our External Relations team.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Communications, you will help create and organize materials that raise brand visibility, support public engagement, and highlight humanitarian work; responsibilities include writing, editing, website content, media monitoring, and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Interest in international development and humanitarian communications.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support knowledge management and internal tools.
• Draft, edit, and support communications collateral and background documents.
• Assist with PowerPoint presentations and internal materials.
• Draft and enter website content using WordPress and SEO tools.
• Take notes during briefings and team meetings to support planning and content development.
• Monitor media outlets and share relevant summaries with the team.
• Contribute to the weekly editorial calendar.
• Support content development across website, digital marketing, social media, and traditional channels.
• Collaborate with External Relations colleagues, field teams, and global network partners.
