Job summary

Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) in California seeks an experienced Trusts & Estates content attorney to create and update practice-oriented content on topics including litigation, Medi-Cal, special needs trusts, guardianships, and elder law. You will research, write, and edit sophisticated resources for practitioners and contribute DailyNews articles addressing current developments.

You will independently develop content, recruit collaborators, and work with internal practice groups to

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related law practice experience required; 5+ years preferred
• Legal editing experience in substantive law area (2+ years)
• Practitioner awareness of current legal practice and challenges
• Excellent writing and editing skills; strong command of English
• Excellent project management and ability to manage contributors and timelines
• Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, Lexis, and cite checking programs

Responsibilities

• Create and update engaging legal content for Trusts and Estates topics (litigation, Medi-Cal, Special Needs Trusts, Guardianships, Elder Law)
• Collaborate with attorneys and judges to review and develop content
• Write DailyNews articles addressing current legal developments
• Participate in practice area groups and cross-team collaboration
