Description du poste

The Ivy Group seeks a Content and Editorial Manager to join our growing agency team. A jack-of-all-trades creative, the Content and Editorial Manager will balance creative strategy, excellent writing skills, and content production abilities to support a diverse array of clients. In collaboration with other team members, the Content and Editorial Manager will be responsible for taking creative ideas from start to finish: from brainstorming and ideation, to project management and execution, all the way to final-mile design, formatting, and delivery. The role will also support the creation of and copywriting for strategic deliverables, such as strategic plans or memos, research reports, and proposals. The ideal candidate demonstrates impressive narrative ability, keeps the fresh ideas coming, has a borderline obsessive attention to detail, and is eager to be a team player.

Applications for this role will be open until EOD Friday, March 27, 2026. Interviews will begin in April.

Please provide a resume and 2-3 work samples, ideally compiled into one PDF document, that demonstrate your writing abilities and creative strategy and execution. In lieu of a cover letter, please provide answers to the prompts in the job application form on our hiring platform, Polymer (no more than two paragraphs).

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of content creation from conception to completion: determining strategy, drafting copy, incorporating team and client feedback, optimizing the content for the appropriate platform
  • Collaborate with project leads, Directors, and other team members to determine strategy, build creative briefs, and evaluate performance results
  • Distill many inputs (e.g., audience research, brand voice, client direction) into content strategy and key messages
  • Vary voice, style, and other characteristics as relevant for the industry, company, or target audience
  • Draft short- and long-form content, including multimedia ad copy, social media posts, press releases, marketing plans, sales collateral, cover letters, case studies, and blogs
  • Support the creation of strategy deliverables through copywriting and proofing
  • Conduct keyword research, optimize digital content for search engines, and align with writing for the web best practices
  • Originate creative and brand messaging, including taglines, campaign slogans, and mission/vision statements
  • Masterfully use tools such as MailChimp, WordPress, and Meta Business Suite to publish content
  • Draft, format, and edit proposals in response to prospect inquiries
  • Critically (yet with a collaborative spirit) edit team members’ work
  • Proofread communications and materials to ensure materials are on brand, aligned with strategy, clear, and error-free
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or related discipline
  • 3+ year experience as a copywriter or marketing professional, with a preference for previous agency experience; equivalent coursework and internship experience will be considered
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks at the same time in a dynamic environment
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with coworkers and clients to deliver the best work possible
  • Passion for helping communities and purpose-driven brands thrive
  • Strong knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite required
  • Knowledge of social platforms and trends (Meta, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and others), MailChimp, WordPress, and Canva required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred, but not required
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes 401(k) retirement savings program, 3% salary employer contribution to 401(k) (match not required), health and dental insurance, jury duty and bereavement leave, long-term disability and workers’ compensation insurance, short term and family leave, 8 paid holidays, 16 PTO days (accrue up to 24 days over 3 years)
  • Independent, woman-owned and led agency
  • Friendly, accommodating work environment
  • Flexible schedule; 8-hour workday can be adjusted around core hours of 10 am-4 pm
  • Cubicle-free, dog-friendly office within walking distance of the Charlottesville downtown mall (with free dedicated parking)
  • Protected time for professional development
