• Act as the main contact for resolving end-user problems concerning content creation, rendering, and search features. This includes identifying issues and coordinating with Product Managers and engineering teams for their solutions.
• Be a strong advocate for the content authoring community, deeply understanding their workflows, pain points, and needs to ensure the creation of effective and efficient content processes and tools.
• Analyze data from various sources, including analytics and stakeholder feedback, to identify trends and inform content strategies.
• Develop and maintain taxonomies for effective organization and classification.
• Conduct gap analyses to align taxonomy models with existing content and data inventories.
• Assess the quality of machine learning classification results and other outputs.
• Enhance taxonomy models through data analysis, corpus evaluation, entity extraction, and other relevant techniques.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives, including creating test cases and assisting with user acceptance testing.
• Monitor progress and communicate the status of ongoing tasks

This role is fully remote, but candidates must be able to operate within Pacific Time Zone hours of operation

Skills Qualifications

• 4+ years relevant work experience
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and a deep understanding of content creation best practices, including experience with content workflows, metadata management, and information architecture.
• Ability to analyze data from diverse sources (user behavior analytics, content & search performance metrics) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for taxonomy optimization.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of taxonomy development (concept identification, relationship mapping, controlled vocabulary management), and experience in implementation and maintenance strategies within enterprise systems.
• Exposure to and understanding of content or taxonomy-related AI initiatives (automated tagging, intent classification solutions) is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with WordPress for content management and JIRA for project tracking is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in a technology organization
• Experience with PoolParty or other taxonomy management tools
• Experience with analytics software, knowledge of Python and database systems
• Degree in Library and Information Science, Linguistics, or similar discipline preferred
