Job summary

The Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA is seeking an intellectually curious curator to document, preserve, and interpret the history of computing, focusing on the last 25 years. Reporting to the Director of Curatorial Affairs, the role combines collecting, exhibition development, and public engagement.

You will engage with industry leaders, researchers, and donors to develop permanent and online exhibitions, create digital content, and advance acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in history, science and technology studies, museum studies, information studies, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a museum, archive, academic institution, research organization, technology company, or related environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in the history of computing and contemporary technology.
• Experience developing museum exhibitions, digital content, or public history projects.
• Experience conducting historical research and producing interpretive content.
• Experience with collecting, archives, oral histories, or related documentation activities.
• Strong writing, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively across teams.
