One River School of Art + Design is seeking an Art Teacher (All Ages) for a part-time role in Manhasset, NY. We value practicing artists and passionate educators who introduce contemporary art in exciting, meaningful ways.

Lead hands-on weekly classes, explore painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, 3D work, and more. Foster creativity, confidence, and a strong artistic voice while engaging with families about student growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience as an artist or educator.
• Comfort across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media and 3D work.
• Strong communication with families and students.

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic, hands-on weekly art classes for students (Weekday Afternoons and Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays).
• Explore contemporary approaches across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and 3D work.
• Encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and big imaginative thinking.
• Create WOW moments that build confidence and artistic voice.
• Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and breakthroughs.
