Job description

Why Charlie Health?

We are currently facing a nationwide mental health epidemic marked by rising rates of depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, and suicide. At the same time, those seeking help often encounter barriers—whether geographic, financial, or systemic—that prevent them from receiving timely and effective care. This urgent need calls for a reimagined approach to behavioral health treatment.

At Charlie Health, our mission is to connect the world to life-saving mental health treatment. Our innovative virtual programs combine curated group sessions, individual therapy, and family therapy, delivered through personalized, evidence-based treatment plans designed for sustainable healing from the comfort of home. By connecting individuals with shared experiences and fostering supportive communities, Charlie Health provides a pathway to long-term recovery, with over 90% of our clients seeing improvement in their most challenging mental health symptoms.

Every member of our team shares a deep commitment to this mission. If you’re driven to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to join us in reshaping the future of mental healthcare.

About the Role

Charlie Health is a pioneer in its approach to mental health treatment. We advocate for and provide inclusive, accessible, diverse, cosmopolitan healing approaches that transcend the conventional Western psychological model. Charlie Health’s synergistic Clinical + Integrative treatment model affords cutting edge mental health care that proudly serves our amazing clients.

Charlie Health is excited to expand its Contemplative Programming Department. Aligned with the growing bodies of research that evidence positive psychological transformation as a result of contemplative interventions and practices rooted in wisdom traditions, our Contemplative Practitioners support our clients in developing mindful awareness, cultivating wisdom, discovering purpose, living compassionately, and practicing self-inquiry. Some of our current therapeutic modalities include Yoga Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindful Self Compassion, Breathwork, Philosophical Consultation, Transpersonal Psychology, Spiritual Coaching, Meditation, and Chaplaincy. Some of the modalities we are eager to include are Contemplative Psychotherapy, Contemplative Arts, Dreamwork, Depth Psychology and many more.

Charlie Health is hiring a few exceptional Contemplative Practitioners to provide remote, telehealth services to our adolescent and young adult clients. We’re eager to work with forward-thinking mental health and substance use professionals to enhance our programming and provide the best possible care to our clients.

While each individual facilitator has their own interests, expertise, and style, we require all team members to be well versed in a variety of therapeutic modalities. Our clients are struggling to cope with underlying mental health issues and benefit from facilitators that are sophisticated and relational. Successful candidates are committed to bettering the mental health of their clients, and are adept at self-care, ensuring they are prepared to give their best every day to address the rural mental health crisis.
