Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Contamination Control Technician in Fairport, NY to monitor clean spaces, support production, and drive contamination‑control improvements. You will rely on documented sampling procedures and maintain essential documentation and equipment.

The role requires an AS or AAS, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and basic electronic troubleshooting. You will collaborate with the Contamination Control engineer and work with clean rooms, calibration activities, and protocol

Qualifications

• AS or AAS degree in an applicable field is required.
• Adept in basic Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Fundamental knowledge of standard electronic equipment and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling (airborne, surface particulates, ultrapure water) per procedures and coordinate exposure kit locations.
• Inspect, clean and test ionizing guns/bars.
• Monitor power and frequency of ultrasonic/megasonic units.
• Certify clean benches and enclosures as required.
• Maintain contamination control documentation.
• Assist calibration of instrumentation used in these activities.
• Support clean rooms/spaces including garment supply and rotation.
• Conduct cleanroom protocol audits.
• Report non-conforming activities to the Contamination Control engineer.

Job description

Job Title: Contamination Control Technician

Location: Fairport, NY

Duration: 12+ Months

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Purpose of Position

In this role, you will support and promote Contamination Control at the Fairport - NY Plant by monitoring existing clean spaces, supporting production to prevent/minimize/reduce contamination, identifying potential continuous improvements and maintaining the documentation and equipment required for contamination control.

Major Responsibilities

• Various sampling per documented procedures (includes airborne/surface particulates, airborne & surface organic/inorganic contamination, ultrapure water contamination, etc) including ordering of exposure kits and coordination of locations for sampling
• Inspection, cleaning and testing of ionizing guns/bars
• Monitoring of the power and frequency of ultrasonic/megasonic units
• Certification of clean benches, clean enclosures, etc as needed
• Maintenance of contamination control documentation
• Assisting with coordination of calibration of all instrumentation used in the above activities
• Supporting all clean rooms/clean spaces including garment supply/rotation
• Cleanroom protocol audits
• Communicate any non-conforming activities/conditions to the Contamination Control engineer

Required Qualifications/Education

• We require an AS or AAS in an applicable field
• Adept in basic skills of Microsoft Office: Outlook (email), Excel (general data collection, interpretation, graphing), Word, Powerpoint
• Fundamental knowledge and skills with standard electronic equipment and general troubleshooting
