Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Container Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain container orchestration infrastructure for naval combat systems. You will develop automation, implement PaaS, and support cloud-native transitions using Kubernetes, Ansible, Python, and Bash.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, onsite work in a CUI environment, and strong collaboration with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure within an agile development cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance (must be U.S. citizen).
• Ability to work onsite in a CUI development environment at the laboratory.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
• Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with YAML configuration and declarative infrastructure practices.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical responsibilities.
• Understanding of system of systems concepts and complex architectures.
• Ability to participate effectively in technical meetings and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain container orchestration infrastructure using Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Design and implement Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions to support containerized deployments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts with Bash, Python, Ansible for configuration and deployment.
• Support integration of containerized combat system components into the infrastructure platform.
• Participate in technical meetings and provide expertise to development teams.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide technical solutions.
• Support rapid iteration and deployment cycles in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and development teams to meet requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL) in dev and prod.
• Support transition to microservices-based architectures.
• Ensure infrastructure meets security requirements for classified deployments.
