Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking a skilled mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty container handling equipment at our Wilmington, CA site. The role offers paid training, competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long-term advancement opportunities.

You’ll work on top loaders, side loaders, and reach stackers with diesel, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting. Requires a valid license, pre-employment checks, and compliance with FRA safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a container handling equipment mechanic or service technician.
• Hydraulic systems experience required (pumps, valves, motors, filters and hoses).
• Driveline component repair experience (axles, bearings, rings, etc.).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• Follows safety standards and drug screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, assess, and repair container handling equipment and heavy trucks.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on side loaders and related machinery.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, motors, filters, hoses.
• Conduct driveline repairs on axles, bearings, rings, and related parts.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
• Operate safely in an outdoor railyard and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely repairs.
