Job summary

ConGlobal in Seattle is seeking a Chassis Repair / Maintenance Technician to perform repairs on chassis, trailers, and containers and to ensure safety and roadworthiness of equipment.

You will diagnose faults, replace parts, weld as needed, and maintain maintenance logs. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather on a fast-paced site.

Qualifications

• Experience in chassis/trailer/container repair and maintenance.
• Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires and framework.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have a basic set of hand tools.
• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
• Federal Railroad Administration safety regulations apply; cannabis use prohibited; drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on chassis, trailers, and containers.
• Diagnose and replace or repair lights, tires, landing legs, brakes, and framework.
• Conduct minor welding and fabrication as needed.
• Inspect equipment to identify issues and ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with industry standards.
• Work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
