Job summary

Busey is seeking a Consumer Business Risk & Compliance Manager to lead risk and control frameworks for consumer payments and deposits. You will serve as the subject matter expert, advising on consumer-related risks across traditional and digital banking products to minimize regulatory and reputational risk.

You will assess controls, develop testing standards, and coordinate with second-line and business teams to ensure effective remediation and compliance with evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills; can adapt communication and presentation style to fit various audiences.
• In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of consumer regulations and trends, including small business protection regulations.
• Design and documentation of procedures and controls that promote consistent and repeatable processes.
• Products and services offered in both traditional banking and digital environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing controls frameworks across consumer payments and deposits and provide improvement recommendations.
• Guide on control improvements to ensure design objectives mitigate risk efficiently.
• Develop or enhance control testing standards and monitoring programs with staff.
