Job summary

Prospect Rock Partners seeks an experienced Investment Banking Associate for its Consumer & Retail M&A team in NYC. You will execute buy- and sell-side engagements, build financial models, and craft confidential memos and client presentations.

You will work closely with senior bankers and junior staff, guiding analysts, coordinating due diligence, and helping develop new business opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of investment banking experience with emphasis on M&A.
• Experience in Consumer & Retail IB or related transaction exposure.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and multiple workstreams.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, accounting and analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and executives.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of M&A transactions from start to close.
• Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses and merger analyses.
• Prepare pitch books, confidentiality memoranda, and management presentations.
• Manage analysts and junior team members, guiding modeling and research.
• Coordinate due diligence, data rooms, and client communications.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and potential acquirers.
• Support senior bankers in business development and new pitches.
• Build and maintain client relationships while delivering high-quality work.
