Job summary

Citizens Bank seeks an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join the Consumer and Retail group, supporting senior professionals in industry-focused client advisory as well as originating and executing capital markets and M&A transactions.

The Associate will supervise and develop analyst bankers, contribute to pitches, perform financial modeling, due diligence, and help manage transaction execution from origination to closing, working with MDs across DCM, ECM and M&A teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Leveraged Finance or Capital Markets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Supporting senior professionals in industry-focused client advisory and executing capital markets and M&A transactions.
• Developing pitches, conducting company and industry research, and preparing materials for client meetings.
• Supervising and mentoring analyst bankers and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Contributing to transaction execution from origination through closing and supporting due diligence.
