Job Description:


The Analytics and Model Development team is part of Retail Banking’s CSCA Operations Enablement group, focused on supporting Client Services and CSCA resource planning initiatives. The AMD team is responsible for data sourcing, automation, reporting, and forecasting, utilizing a variety of systems / platforms including, but not limited to, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and SAS. The candidate will perform a combination of functions including 1) data sourcing, automation, and ETL workflow builds, 2) performing analysis and creating reports utilizing latest technologies, and 3) uncover insights from data that can be used in decisioning and present findings to executive stakeholders.

Additional areas of focus include forecasting support, modeling of various performance metrics, monitoring of variance deviations in forecasting performance, and development of data quality controls. Other objectives include supporting the rollout of new projects, defining project requirements, monitoring development progress, and the assessment and development of tools to automate and streamline existing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new reporting and executive dashboards using tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
  • Enhance existing reports and forecasting processes to improve delivery time and model accuracy
  • Design processes to support data extraction and transformation using tools such as Alteryx and SAS
  • Create SQL logic to source data from various systems including Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and Hadoop
  • Gather and document business requirements for new development items
  • Identify OpEx and streamlining opportunities and escalate for addition to team backlog
  • Partner with other CSCA teams to identify optimization opportunities
  • Perform statistical analysis using tools such as SAS and Python
  • Work with leadership to maintain appropriate prioritization of concurrent ongoing projects in a changing environment
  • Identify data quality gaps and develop controls to mitigate
  • Collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams who supply required data for our processes
  • Complete required development testing to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed on various call center metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of SQL coding experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, and Teradata systems
  • 3+ years of Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy experience
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with broad business acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and rapidly-changing environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and quickly escalate any risks or challenges
  • Positive Attitude and willingness to learn

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient in one of SAS, Python, R
  • Experience with Alteryx or other ETL tools
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability in using data and metrics to identify root causes
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Project Management methodologies such as Agile and Six Sigma
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, business, engineering, finance, or operations research
