Job summary

TruPartner Credit Union in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Consumer Loan Closing Specialist to act as the final quality control checkpoint, notary, and closing officer for all loan closings. This mobile role travels between branches to review files, notarize, and ensure error-free closings before funds are released.

The position reports to the VP of Lending and focuses on accurate documentation, signatures, and smooth handoffs to collateral staff in a fast-paced credit union environment.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years in banking, credit union operations, title companies, or consumer loan processing (prior loan officer or closer experience preferred)
• Hands-on experience with loan collateral and lending-related insurance products
• Sharp eye for data discrepancies, omissions, and missing signatures
• Strong math skills to verify income and calculate corrections
• Clear, professional communication and good judgment with sensitive member information
• Self-driven with strong time management across a multi-branch schedule
• Comfortable learning new systems (training provided on Symitar, our loan origination platform, and imaging)

Responsibilities

• Review consumer loan files before signing, catching missing fields, unverified income, and formatting errors
• Travel between our four branches to conduct in-person loan signings and support front-line teams
• Serve as an Ohio Notary Public for vehicle liens, second mortgages, and HELOC documents
• Guide members through consumer lending paperwork and secure accurate signatures
• Hand off closed loans to the Loan Collateral Specialist for title applications and county recordings
• Coach MSRs on file quality to reduce repeat errors
• Ensure closed loans are scanned and archived correctly
• Support the Loan Collateral Specialist and Lending Operations Manager as needed, and back up other lending staff

Consumer Loan Closing Specialist

TruPartner Credit Union | Cincinnati, OH

TruPartner Credit Union is looking for a proven closer for our consumer loans. Reporting to the VP of Lending, you'll be the final quality control checkpoint, notary, and closing officer for all four Cincinnati branches. This mobile role travels between branches to take over the lending pipeline from Member Service Representatives (MSRs) once loans are approved, reviewing files, catching documentation gaps, notarizing, and executing error-free closings before funds go out to members.

Location & Hours

Based out of the Main Office, serving all locations. Core coverage is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM, with the specific schedule divided among the MSR team and manager.

What We’re Looking For

Good to Know

This is a 100% in‑office role, not available remote, in a fast‑paced environment driven by monthly funding goals and legal timelines. Daily local travel between branches is required (mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate), and you'll carry a credit union laptop and notary kit between offices.
