Greenberg Traurig, LLP, a global law firm, seeks a senior-level Associate for its Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice. This full-time role can be filled in any U.S. market where GT maintains an office.

Ideal candidate will have 7+ years in financial services regulatory and compliance, with expertise in mortgage lending, BNPL, EWA, and FinTech products. Spanish is a plus; admission to the relevant jurisdiction is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience.
• Experience in mortgage lending and servicing, consumer finance, commercial finance, BNPL and EWA, FinTech products and structures.
• Experience with state licensing and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, UDAAP/UDAP, HMDA, FCRA, FDCPA.
• Enforcement experience is a plus.
• Strong academic background and exceptional legal research, analysis and writing skills.

This position can be filled in any U.S. market where the Firm maintains an office, subject to business needs and candidate qualifications. Greenberg Traurig’s Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice comprises more than 80 attorneys throughout the United States and in Latin America, Europe and Asia. Our department’s global platform distinctively positions us to address the needs of both domestic and international clients. We continue to build on a practice base that, while very broad, is nonetheless refined to serve the unique industry, practice, and jurisdictional needs of our diverse client base.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 7 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience in mortgage lending and servicing, consumer finance, commercial finance, alternative lending products such as buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) and earned wage access (EWA) products, as well as FinTech products and structures including, but not limited to, bank partnership models. In addition, candidates should have significant experience with state licensing and have a knowledge of key financial services laws and regulations (e.g., TILA, RESPA, UDAAP/UDAP, HMDA, FCRA, and FDCPA). Enforcement experience is a plus as well as experience with money services businesses and payment systems.

We are seeking candidates who possess a strong academic background and excellent legal research, analysis and writing skills, with strong attention to detail. Candidates must be willing to take on significant responsibility, have a strong commitment to client service and be diligent, proactive and team oriented. Candidates must be admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

The Expected Pay Range For This Position Is

Washington, D.C: $365,000 to $400,000 per year

New York: $420,000 - $435,000 per year

Chicago: $320,000 - $360,000 per year

Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
