Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an analyst for its Consumer Finance research team in New York. You will work closely with the Senior Analyst to develop investment ideas, conduct industry and company research, build and maintain financial models, and author research reports for investors and management teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of equity research experience, strong modeling skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 1–2 years of sell-side or buy-side research experience preferred.
• Credit knowledge is a plus.
• Strong MS Word and MS Excel with solid modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors, international affairs, and policy/politics.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work.
• Write industry and company reports and launch initiations from scratch.
• Participate in IPO-related vetting and analyst days.
• Develop databases integral to our research product.
• Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
• Work with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themes.
• Build relationships with contacts at covered companies.
• Participate in client meetings and events.
• Attend meetings and interact with key opinion leaders.
• Follow market and company activity and relay to analysts.
