Job summary

AdventHealth Denver is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access professional to support Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, and coordinate pre-authorizations as needed. This PRN, on-site role emphasizes accurate patient registration and seamless revenue cycle support.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work with patients, physicians, and insurers in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Local Denverites are preferred.

Qualifications

• Medicare compliance reviews and ABN management.
• Accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility and collection or payment plans.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization issues.
• Verify eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations from insurers.
• Register patients for all services with accuracy and reduce record duplication.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or establishes payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management staff for pre-authorization issues and ensures patients have necessary logistical information.
• Contacts insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits, and obtains pre-authorizations within established timeframes.
• Registers patients for all services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of medical records.

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and written
