ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic professionals for an outdoor Consulting Utility Forester role. This position welcomes entry level and experienced foresters with forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies or related backgrounds.

Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating trees along utility lines, submitting results with recommendations, directing crews, and coordinating access with stakeholders. Colorado location with a strong emphasis on safety and results.

Qualifications

• Two-year or four-year degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus two years of UVM experience.
• ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred
• Vegetation management experience preferred
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with GIS data collection software/hardware preferred

ACRT is currently seeking energetic experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Our Consulting Utility Forester position is ideal for entry level and seasoned professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation or related disciplines and with experience in these fields and line of work.

Our Foresters perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines; Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.

Colorado Salary Range Disclaimer

This position has a salary range of $22.00 to $30.00 an hour. Actual salaries will vary within the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, performance, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. In addition, ACRT provides a variety of benefits to employees, including, but not limited to, medical, dental and vision insurance coverage, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

Minimum Requirements:

• Two-year or four-year degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related fieldORhigh school diploma/GED plus two years of UVM experience. High school diploma/GED requirement can waived with 5 years related experience.
• ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred
• Vegetation management experience preferred
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required
• Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, production oriented
• Candidate must be comfortable working in an independent environment and managing a geographical area for all vegetation related activities
• Candidate must be able to work with stakeholders, utility customers and line clearance vendors and have excellent interpersonal skill
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skill
• Multi-tasking and strong time management skills required
• Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (available nights and weekends as needed)
• Able to sit for prolonged periods of time as our employees could spend extended time driving and/or in meetings/trainings
• Valid driver's license required
