ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester in Pueblo, CO to inspect and evaluate trees along utility lines, submit recommendations, and coordinate line-clearance crews.

The role requires experience in vegetation management and independent work within a defined geographic area. Candidates should have a forestry-related degree or equivalent experience, plus GIS, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year or four-year degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus two years of UVM experience.
• High school diploma/GED requirement can waived with 5 years related experience.
• ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred
• Vegetation management experience preferred
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required
• Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, production oriented
• Candidate must be comfortable working in an independent environment and managing a geographical area for all vegetation related activities
• Candidate must be able to work with stakeholders, utility customers and line clearance vendors and have excellent interpersonal skill
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skill
• Multi-tasking and strong time management skills required
• Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (available nights and weekends as needed)
• Able to sit for prolonged periods of time as our employees could spend extended time driving and/or in meetings/trainings
• Valid driver's license required
