Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Consulting Utility Forester to join our team in Farmington, ME. The role involves inspecting utility right-of-ways, ensuring compliance with clearance standards, coordinating with line-clearance crews, and documenting work. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and storms.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect distribution utility right-of-ways and access areas for compliance.
  • Identify tree and brush control needs and communicate with crews.
  • Document work using handheld devices.
  • Notify property owners of upcoming work.
  • Audit contractor work and negotiate access issues.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Practical experience in tree work, including climbing, groundskeeping, or operating equipment.
  • Knowledge of local tree identification and physiology; ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain certification within 6-12 months.
  • Current driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.
