Job description

Position Overview

Pay Rate: $22-$26/Hr

What you’ll do:
  • Contribute to vegetation management planning and analysis.
  • Use innovative technology to assist electric utility providers in delivering safe, reliable power and maintaining national security.
  • Inspect vegetation in right-of-ways for compliance and work plan development.
  • Identify tree and brush control needs and protection zones.
  • Collect data with handheld devices, assess terrain and environmental conditions, and support IVM projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams to develop tailored solutions.
What you’ll need:
  • Enjoy outdoor work, capable of hiking in rugged terrain and bad weather.
  • Ability to read GIS data and work independently.
  • Leadership qualities and a desire for career growth are preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and embrace technical innovation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the utility service area.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to operate 4x4 vehicles.
  • Knowledge of local tree species and growth patterns.
  • Organizational skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • Preferred: Degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, or related field.
  • Preferred: Relevant pesticide/herbicide licenses and certifications.
  • Preferred: Certifications such as ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist, RPF, or utility right-of-way experience.
