ACRT is currently seeking energetic, experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Our Consulting Utility Forester position is ideal for seasoned professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related disciplines, along with relevant experience.

Our Foresters perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines; submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and customer stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Two or four-year degree in forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field, or a high school diploma plus two years of UVM experience
• Previous vegetation management experience preferred
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with GIS data collection software/hardware preferred but not required
• Self-motivated, organized, and production-oriented
• Comfortable working independently and managing a geographical area for vegetation activities
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders, utility customers, and vendors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective multi-tasking and time management skills
• Ability to work in varied terrain and weather conditions, with flexible schedules (including nights and weekends as needed)
• Valid driver's license required
• ISA Arborist certification preferred

Salary Range:

The salary range varies based on location, experience, and performance. For applicants in Ohio, the range is from $18 to $24 per hour. Other benefits include paid time off, 401(k) with company match, ESOP contributions, and region-specific insurance benefits.
