Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) Technician to our team of environmental professionals in Baltimore, MD.

Job Duties

The UVM Technician will inspect distribution utility rights-of-way and access areas for compliance with state standards, identify tree and brush control needs, document work, notify property owners, audit contractor work, and negotiate access issues. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and storms as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Practical tree work experience such as climbing, forestry operations, or groundskeeping.
• Knowledge of local tree identification and physiology; ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain certification within 6-12 months.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Proficiency in computer applications: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.
