Job summary

World Wide Technology seeks a Consulting Solutions Architect to join our North Central Region Global Enterprise Sales team. You will engage with Client Managers to deliver pre-sales AI data center solutions, focusing on Networking, Automation, and Data Protection for Enterprise customers across the region.

You will collaborate with marketing and internal teams to capture market data, develop multi-vendor architectures, and drive successful customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Must live in or be located near Dallas or Houston, TX
• Enterprise-scale technical experience with Data Center solutions, network security, cloud security, hybrid infrastructures secure, architecture designs, and technology management
• Proficiency in disaster recovery (DR) and cyber recovery (CR) planning and technologies
• Knowledge of data protection platforms and partner ecosystems
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Responsibilities

• Cover the North Central region for Consulting Solutions Architecture.
• Provide pre-sales technical guidance focusing on Networking and Automation.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data protection architecture (backup, DR, encryption).
• Design secure data lifecycle management processes from creation to deletion.
• Advise on data governance and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor peers and transfer knowledge as needed.
• Support lab design and buildouts in the ATC and assist with POCs.
• Create proposals and presentations aligned with accounts and vendors.

As a Consulting Solutions Architect (CSA), you will be partnering with Client Managers to provide the technical Pre-Sales work focused on Networking and Automation for our Enterprise customers across the Region. No two days will be the same as our broad offerings include Infrastructure Modernization, Multicloud Architecture, Security Transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Strategy among others. Our Advanced Technology Center (https://www.wwt.com/atc) changes the game for us in many ways. It enriches and transforms the way we interact with our customers in forms of ideation sessions, demos, POCs, workshops, training, briefings and more. In addition, the ATC is a world class environment which enables self-education as well as career growth.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be responsible for providing AI Data Center technical solutions to our customers and internal organizations. The CSA acts as a key resource for engaging with strategic customer relationships while also collaborating with our customer's teams and internal teams to reach successful outcomes for our client's business objectives. The role will also collaborate with marketing and other teams to drive market data for the relevant technologies with the goal of understanding industry trends and the overall impact to WWT and our customer's business.

Responsibilities:

• This role will be covering the North Central region.
• Be a self-driven and motivated team player to help other team members and our customers overcome challenges to drive secure outcomes that transform security teams with modern approaches to risk and compliance.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise’s data protection architecture, including backup, disaster recovery, and encryption frameworks.
• Design and implement secure data lifecycle management processes, from data creation to deletion.
• Provide solutions for data governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship to peers as required.
• Simplify messaging and assist in vendor enablement for field sales teams.
• Create functional multi-vendor architectures and solutions.
• Engage in thought leadership activities: event speaking, blog posts, podcasts, conference attendance.
• Help create proposals and presentations aligned with account teams and vendors.
• Learn, Understand and Evangelize WWT’s differentiators.
• Familiarize WWT account teams with Data Protection solutions and provide practice messaging updates regularly.
• Participate in the design & buildout of labs in our ATC
• Define POC and Customer Engagement guidelines.
• Knowledge of Information Security Standards (NIST, PCI, HIPPA, etc)
• Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and organizational policies.
• Evaluate and recommend data protection tools and technologies, such as DLP, DRM, CASB, and secure file-sharing systems.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in disaster recovery (DR) and cyber recovery (CR) planning and technologies
• The technical aptitude and experience to learn new cloud security technologies and understand relevant cloud security market trends.
• Competitive Landscape: Knowledge of data protection platforms.
• Partners: Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer need.
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $150,000.00 to $175,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
