Job summary

Exponent Inc. in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer within the Mechanical Engineering Practice to advance consulting capabilities through ML, simulations, and data science for clients inside and outside the firm.

You will collaborate with engineers and clients, perform laboratory work and field inspections, and develop first-principles calculations and ML models. A Ph.D. and Python proficiency are required, with strong communication and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required and must complete all commitments before employment.
• Specialized knowledge in dynamic systems, robotics, physics engines, data science, machine learning, and foundation AI models.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with version control, software engineering best practices, cloud environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong project ownership and leadership potential.
• Ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
