ControlPoint Technologies, Inc. seeks a Consulting Substation Engineer to lead projects within our Substation Engineering team in the United States.

The role requires direct experience with transmission and/or distribution substation projects, strict adherence to client design standards, and proven project management skills. The ideal candidate will mentor teams, perform QA reviews, manage client relationships, and contribute to proposal development while ensuring quality and timely delivery of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer licensure (PE) required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
• Experience in utility substation design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

About the Consulting Substation Engineer position

ControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Consulting Substation Engineer to provide project leadership within our Substation Engineering team.

Candidates must have direct experience with Transmission and/or Distribution Substation Projects. Ability to work within engineering design standards and quality programs specific to client needs and requirements. Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines is required. Must be an outgoing team player with the ability to provide client confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scope of work, conceptual designs
• Provide guidance and mentorship within engineering and design team
• Perform quality assurance reviews
• Strong client focus and customer service
• Proposal development
• Excellent communication skills
• Physical substation design including: yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, AC / DC power systems, and bill of material for procure and construction.
• Review calculations for studies and reports (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.)
• Coordinate engineering and design related to Civil/Structural; including structural drawings, foundation drawings, foundation and steel calculations.
• Plan engineering project deliverables with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor'sDegree in Engineering from ABET accredited program
• Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) is required
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience electric utility industry
• Experience in utility substation design
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Salary:

The base compensation range for this position is based on education, work experience, licensure, and qualifications.

Base Compensation Annual Range: $145,000 - $195,000
