Job Title: Consulting Dentist (PRN)

Locations: Peninsula Oral Surgery San Jose, San Jose-Forest, CA

Job Type: Denti-Cal Consultations

Summary

We are looking for a Consulting Dentist to join our Bay Area OSM team two days a week to provide Denti-Cal consultations.

Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate a patient's oral health needs, discuss treatment options, and develop a treatment plan for dental care covered under the Denti-Cal program.
  2. Meet with patients to perform general exams and clarify airway.
  3. Review x-rays.
  4. Discuss procedure risks and anesthesia with patients.
  5. Maintain excellent chair-side manner.
Required Qualifications
  1. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Degree.
  2. Current California state licensure to practice dentistry.
  3. NBDE Board Certification.
  4. Experience seeing Denti-Cal patients.
  5. Willingness to obtain Denti-Cal/Medi-Cal credentials if not already possessed.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to provide excellent patient care under stressful circumstances.
  8. Professional appearance and attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with WinOms Software.
Schedule
  • 1 to 4 days per week, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Schedule may change.
Special Requirements
  • Ability to stand up to 80% of the time.
  • Physical ability to drive, sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
