Wood Mackenzie, a global leader in energy analytics, offers a 6-month co-op placement for penultimate-year students starting January 2027 in Boston. The role blends natural resources expertise with commercial consulting, tackling challenges across upstream, downstream, gas & LNG, metals & mining, and power/renewables.
Successful candidates will develop technical skills through datasets, desktop research, and building supporting tools, while collaborating with a global team.

This opportunity is for penultimate year students who are looking for a 6-month placement starting in January 2027
Our Consulting division offers a powerful combination of natural resources expertise and commercial consulting skills, partnering with clients to provide actionable recommendations that deliver results as they begin to navigate the challenges of the energy and materials transitions.
This co-op placement will help you gain an understanding of the commercial drivers in the energy sector and understand the major challenges facing the natural resources sectors, how these sectors interrelate, and what strategies companies are adopting to tackle these challenges.
Co-ops will have the opportunity to work across our 5 key consulting sectors which include upstream, downstream, gas & LNG, metals & mining, and power and renewables.

Collaborate closely with the global team of experienced analysts and consultants to understand how to approach industry challenges. Gaining insight into how our different teams (Research, Data, Technology, Sales, Marketing and more) all collaborate to create and deliver value for our clients.

Wood Mackenzie follows a hybrid work structure, however, during the duration of this co-op placement, the successful candidate would highly benefit from being in the office frequently with the team and their line manager.
Applicants must have the legal Right to Work in the country this role is based in. We are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.
The salary for this position is $32/hour. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. This base salary maps to the Primary Metropolitan Location.
