Remote Consultant, Outpatient Facility and Profee Coding Auditor

Job Summary

As a Consultant at LexiCode, you will be part of a team of coding experts providing exceptional services. Your main responsibility will be auditing diagnostic and procedural codes assigned by coders to medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. LexiCode is required by state law to include the salary range for this role when hiring residents in applicable locations.

Pay Disclosure:

The salary range for this position starts at $76,000 - $90,000. The actual offer may vary based on experience and skills. Bonus opportunities and a full benefits package are also available.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Perform concurrent and retrospective ICD-10 and CPT coding analysis of medical records.
  • Review medical records to identify diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of coded data.
  • Stay updated on coding guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation.
  • Maintain productivity while ensuring quality standards.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, or CIC.
  • Minimum of 5 years of outpatient facility and profee coding experience.
  • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
  • Experience with coding software and EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
