Northwell Health is recruiting a full-time Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join the Behavioral Health Hospitalist team at Staten Island University Hospital.
The ideal candidate should be energetic, innovative, and enjoy working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Staten Island University Hospital’s Department of Behavioral Health Sciences provides comprehensive psychiatric care in a private, patient-centered environment. With over 1,450 discharges per year, it is considered one of the most active mental health centers on Staten Island.
Our 35-bed inpatient unit offers short-term hospital care to evaluate and stabilize patients with acute psychiatric disorders. The focus is on returning patients to normal functioning quickly, rebuilding self-esteem, and improving socialization.
As part of Northwell Health, Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching hospital located in New York City’s fastest-growing borough. It comprises two large campuses, community health centers, and labs, providing quality care to Staten Island, the NYC metro region, and international patients. It is a major affiliate of the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and serves as a clinical campus for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine.
