Job description

Job Description: Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated civil/structural Consultant to join our Critical Infrastructure Solutions team in San Jose, CA. Remote or other office locations (San Diego, CA, Denver, CO, Sacramento, CA, or Atlanta, GA) may be considered.

A Consultant possesses diversified engineering knowledge, business development skills, and leadership abilities, capable of managing project assignments independently. Projects may include 3D modeling, advanced analysis, and design of various structures across industries such as civil infrastructure, nuclear power, healthcare, dams, transportation, defense, and mechanical and electrical equipment. Experience in stakeholder engagement and proposal development is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, schedule, and coordinate medium to high complexity projects with limited oversight.
  2. Execute complex structural engineering tasks.
  3. Manage project scope, schedule, and budget reporting.
  4. Provide clear instructions to team members.
  5. Oversee technical report and calculation preparation.
  6. Review calculations and analyses from colleagues.
  7. Serve as a resource for engineering staff.
  8. Assist senior management in client retention and service excellence.
  9. Represent the company at project meetings.
  10. Coordinate with technical leaders on complex engineering issues.
  11. Implement safety and quality policies.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • MS in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • PE license.
  • Experience in solid mechanics, steel, concrete, seismic design/analysis, and advanced finite element software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, SAP2000, LS-DYNA, Matlab, Mathcad).
  • Proficiency with structural codes such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to review and critique engineering outputs.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
  • Recognition for technical excellence and market leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships.
  • Participation in industry committees.
  • Experience as a public speaker or industry advocate.
Salary Range:

Expected in San Diego, CA: $95,120 to $130,790 annually. Exact compensation depends on experience.
