Consultant Relations Analyst/Associate

The Associate or Analyst partner with senior Relationship Managers (RM) and other team members to support the Consultant Relations team in achieving their day-to-day goals of servicing institutional consultants, as well as managing internal administrative tasks and projects. This position will provide the individual with valuable insights into the Neuberger Berman Institutional Client Group business.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior Relationship Managers in all aspects of their activities to ensure goals are met.
  • Understand coverage, research and develop deep knowledge of prospects by product interest and plan type. Partner with senior Relationship Managers to coordinate targeted consultant outreach/marketing campaigns.
  • Understand Neuberger Berman’s full range of investment capabilities to be able to engage directly with consultants as well as colleagues internally.
  • Develop outreach lists, research opportunities and consultant trends in the marketplace utilizing external tools and publications. Conduct competitive analysis and market research utilizing external databases.
  • Assist senior Relationship Managers with internal reporting to senior management including business plans.
  • Conduct thorough meeting preparation; research each consultant in advance of each meeting; coordinate prep calls with necessary Portfolio Management teams and other key internal teams. Coordinate all follow-ups necessary from meetings.
  • Liaise with other internal teams (marketing, performance, analytics, operations, legal & compliance) to ensure client needs are met.
  • Oversee RFP/RFI submissions; liaise with the RFP & Consultant Database teams, ensure RFP/RFI deadlines and requirements are met, review RFPs/RFIs for accuracy of content.
  • Coordinate significant aspects of each relationship to ensure all consultant servicing needs are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in team projects to enhance internal procedures in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Contribute to mentoring and professional development of teammates.
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience related investment management industry experience required.
  • Experience with equity, fixed income and alternative strategies is preferred.
  • Additional accreditations encouraged (e.g. CFA, MBA, CAIA).
  • Excellent presentation, business writing and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization/coordination skills.
  • Enthusiastic team player and highly motivated.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving, coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Existing Salesforce, eVestment and Preqin knowledge a plus.
  • Series 7, 66 and 31 licenses preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$110,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
