What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Review clinical documentation to determine medical necessity and compliance
  2. Make real-time decisions on prior authorization requests via telephone
  3. Provide pharmaceutical expertise to advisory board’s clinical workgroups
  4. Monitor medication utilization and compliance for client members
  5. Refer suspected abuse or fraudulent activity for case review

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with 2 years of pharmacy-related work experience, or
  2. Doctor of Pharmacy degree with 1 year of pharmacy-related work experience, or
  3. Doctor of Pharmacy degree with completion of 1 year of pharmacy residency
  4. Eligibility for licensure or current pharmacist license in good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  5. Ability to travel to off-site locations
