Job summary

ACA Group is seeking an AML/KYC Consultant to support investor onboarding and ongoing monitoring across private funds environments. You will perform detailed reviews, assess ownership structures, and escalate high-risk cases while meeting productivity and SLA expectations.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in AML/KYC or financial crime operations, familiarity with CDD/EDD processes, and strong documentation discipline. CAMS is preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

  • Escalate high-risk files to senior reviewers as required.

The Opportunity

The AML/KYC Consultant supports investor onboarding and ongoing monitoring activities by performing detailed reviews and managing moderately complex cases.

The role requires strong judgement in assessing entity structures, identifying documentation gaps, recommending valid substitutes where appropriate, and escalating higher-risk matters.

What you’ll do
  • Perform AML/KYC reviews for investor onboarding and lifecycle events within private funds environments.
  • Support execution of Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) in line with established procedures and regulatory expectations.
  • Review investor documentation and assess completeness across a range of entity types, including corporates, partnerships, trusts, and regulated FI.
  • Analyze ownership structures and recommend valid alternative documentation where standard documents are not available.
  • Document onboarding conclusions clearly and accurately, including risk considerations and outstanding follow-ups.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk investor files to senior reviewers as required.‑risk matters as appropriate.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and SLA expectations while supporting consistent onboarding delivery across this engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain balanced file analysis and support coverage needs.
To Qualify for the role, you will have
  • 3–5 years of AML/KYC investor onboarding, fund compliance, or financial crime operations within private markets.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing institutional investors, complex structures, private equity, hedge funds subscription documentation.
  • Strong understanding of investor due diligence framework under Luxembourg AML regime; Cayman Islands AML Regulations; US financial crime compliance principles.
  • Ability to apply risk-based judgement while maintaining documentation discipline.‑driven environment.
  • CAMS certification preferred, or willingness to obtain CAMS.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Major or concentration in compliance, criminal justice, law, business, accounting, finance, and/or economics preferred.

Salary Range: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00

The cash compensation range we have provided has been benchmarked against similar organizations of comparable size, sector, and age. Our offers of employment consider a variety of factors, including but not limited to, unique skill sets, specific expertise or certifications and business/organizational needs. It is not typical for us to hire talent at the top of the range for a role, in part because it’s so important to us to allow all ACA employees the opportunity to develop over time, and to feel rewarded for doing so. Our listed range is a reasonable estimate of the total yearly compensation.
